Philanthropy Information

The Department of Anesthesiology is appreciative of financial support for its endeavors. There are three major ways to contribute to the Department:

• Dr. William H. Hadnott II Endowed Chair in Anesthesiology
• Anesthesiology Alumni and Faculty Association
• Resident Library Fund

The campaign to fund the Dr. William H. Hadnott II Endowed Chair in Anesthesiology was initiated in 2008 to honor Dr. Hadnott’s outstanding 37-year career in Texas medicine and academic anesthesiology. Your tax-exempt contributions to this endowment will benefit the academic and research programs of the department.

The Anesthesiology Alumni and Faculty Association is composed of alumni of the Anesthesiology residency program, as well as current and former faculty members of the Department. The Association gathers each year at the annual meetings of the Texas Association of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Anesthesiologists. Association dues are $50 per year, and the funds are used for residency program initiatives. Additional contributions can be made to the Association, and they are considered tax-deductible gifts.

The Resident Library Fund was established to purchase books and other education materials for the residency program. Contributions to the Fund are tax deductible.
